Brandon's first haircut

Brandon's hair gotten a little long and out of control
So he got his first haircut! He did really well. He only fussed a little bit and would shake his head every so often to get me to let go, but he still got a pretty decent hair cut.

And he's so stinkin cute, it wouldn't matter if he were completely bald

I saved the hair in a baggy. Look at all that hair!!!

Island Park and Brandon's Birthday

For Christmas this year, Robby's parents bought the family a weekend stay at a beautiful cabin in Island Park. We had so much fun! There was amazing food and people. We went snowmobiling and hot tubbing and had snowball fights with John.

On Saturday, we celebrated Brandon's first birthday!

We've kept this cute little guy alive for a whole year! I definitely think that's worth celebrating.

He loved all the balloons

And couldn't wait to dive into his cake

This kid is a hard core chocoholic

After he ate as much cake as he could, he got a bath. Then we started on presents

He got a plush frog that he sleeps with every night

And a guitar from Grandma and Grandpa

And this sweet little outfit from Aunt Katie and Uncle Chris

Thank you everyone for all the fun! And Happy Birthday my Tiny Guy!

Blackfoot Christmas 2014

It's always fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house! This Christmas was especially fun.
The boys loved playing the piano (I didn't realize until I snapped the pic that they were in matchy-matchy plaid)

Christmas morning, we gathered around the tree in our Christmas jim-jams

We all got fuzzy socks for Christmas

The boys were totally spoiled and loved every minute of it

John still tells me about Christmas and opening presents at least every other day. It's so cute

Aunt Katie's dad makes these fabulous bouncy horses. The boys couldn't get enough of them. Maybe someday, we can get one of our own.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Lights

I love Christmas! It's my favorite holiday of the year. If I could, I would go all out for Christmas every year. I would decorate our house like a winter wonderland; I would throw a fabulous Christmas party; I would spoil my family rotten; and our house would smell like gingerbread for a month!

Alas, we aren't fabulously wealthy, so a lot of my holiday aspirations are unattainable, but we still have fun!
Before leaving Twin for Christmas, we took the boys around to look at the Christmas lights. There's one house in Twin that has a Christmas light display set to music, so we stopped and watched for a while.

Not a great pic of the display, sorry

John and Brandon loved the music and all the lights. We brought them up on our laps to watch the show and they bounced and danced to the music and stared at the lights for the longest time. Sigh. I just love Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2014

For Thanksgiving this year, we went to my parents' house in Salt Lake. We had so much fun. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I kept forgetting.

I wish Brandon had had more fun, but he's really shy and the strange house and everything (plus having had his flu shot the day before we left) made him really cranky. But John had a blast!

My mom and I did tons of shopping and cooking. Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous! And to top it off, we went to Hogle Zoo. We didn't make it to the train ride (bummer) but John love the carousel. He still talks about the zoo. Thank you Nana and Paka!

Halloween 2014

For Halloween this year, Brandon was the sweetest little lion and John was Daniel Tiger
They got some good milage out of their costumes. My friend, Charmaine, had a little Halloween party with some delicious food and the boys dressed up for the party. Then we had the ward Halloween party the week before Halloween, so they showed off their cute costumes there too. For Halloween, itself, we were in Blackfoot with Robby's family and went to their warm Trunk or Treat. They boys loved all the treats and attention.
