Hopefully a Sign of Good Things to Come

Last night was wonderful! Which makes this morning glorious!
I adore this picture of John hanging over Robby's shoulder
I fed John at 7:30 last night and cuddled him til he fell asleep at 8pm. I went to bed at 10 and he didn't wake up to eat until 1am! Robby was still awake so they hung out until John fell asleep again.
Then Robby came to bed around 2 and John didn't wake up again to eat until 5 am. He fell asleep like angel after his 5 am feeding and 8 am feeding.
And since I got such a good night's sleep, I got up at 8, had breakfast, fed John and put him down in his crib,  cleaned the kitchen (even scrubbing the floors), exercised, and did my hair and makeup and I feel wonderful!
I sure hope this trend continues!

Thank Goodness!

Thank Goodness for health insurance and my employee discount for working at the hospital otherwise we'd be sunk.

We started receiving bills for my labor and delivery:

Room and Board: $4,716.00
IV: $456.56
Med/Surgery Supplies: $603.83
Med/Surg Sterile Supplies: $114.98
Lab: $496.00
Pharmacy: $146.99
Pharmacy Self Administer: $88.13
OBGYN: $8,240.00
Surgery: $3,004.00
Office Visit:  $120.00

Total: $17,986.49

and that doesn't even include my epidural with is about another 3 grand. Ouch!

But with my 25% employee discount and insurance paying 80%, we're only paying about $2,200.00 in hospital bills. Whew!

Baby's Firsts

John's first bath. He loves bath time, it totally mellows him out when he's all wound up from getting his diaper changed. First walk as a family with our sweet little man

First road trip to Grandma and Grandpa Williams.
First time meeting his Great-grandma and Grandpa James and Great-grandma Williams
**As a side note, John is Great-grandma William's 100th great-grandchild and her husband is who we named John for. He passed away about 7 years ago, but Robby wanted to honor his memory by naming our first son for him**

John started smiling on purpose -- especially when Robby's holding him and making faces he'll start mimicking Robby's expressions.

I can't wait for more firsts

Fuzzy Baby

I love how everything about my little man is fuzzy. He still has that baby peach fuzz all over his body and I love it. I adore holding him as I nurse and stroking his fuzzy little back and shoulders. I love that he still has a full head of hair and that it's lightening. He's going to be the cutest little toe head. I know I'm totally biased, but I'm pretty sure I have the cutest baby on the face of the planet.
