Tour

The Williams just moved to Twin Falls to start a new chapter of our lives. Robby will be attending the College of Southern Idaho to get his RN and I'll be his sugar mama while he's in school.
We moved to Twin on Wednesday. The move went well. We pick up our moving truck the afternoon before and had most everything packed up by that night so we had to camp out on our living room floor on our last night in Salt Lake. Wednesday morning we finished packing and cleaning and were out the door and on our way by 11 am.

Our whole life packed into our moving truck.

Robby was a beast I tell you, he moved our king-sized bed practically by himself. He's so my hero!
We got to Twin by about 2:30. It was a nice, uneventful drive. I drove my car and Robby drove the rented truck. We signed all our paperwork and started to move in. Here are some pictures of our apartment before we moved everything in.

We will now begin our tour of the Williams' new apartment. Please keep your hands and legs inside the vehicle as we begin our tour.
This is our front room. We have a lovely deck with a huge tree just outside so it stays nice and cool.
Here's our dining room
Here's the kitchen. I'm excited about all that counter space
Our little bedroom

The second bedroom that we will use for storage or for when company comes

The vanity area outside the bathroom

Nice white bath tub. The bathroom in our old apartment was pretty nasty, so I'm really enjoying how nice this one is.
Back hallway
We spent the next 3 hours moving everything in. And I just have to tell you: I am in total awe of my husband. He's so strong. He moved a majority of our stuff in because I'm just not strong enough to lift all those heavy boxes. I'm so lucky to have him.

For the next 2 days, we started unpacking and getting our stuff into some semblance of order. I think it's really coming along. I've even started decorating.
Living room. We're hoping to get a real couch someday, but the futon will work for now

Dining room. It's really big. We may get a bigger table someday.

Our cute little retro kitchen
One absolutely wonderful thing about Twin Falls is that it actually cools down at night. We've been able to keep our apartment 10 degrees cooler during the day as a result and about 20 degrees cooler at night. It was so miserable trying to sleep when it was 82 degrees in our bedroom. Friday night, our bedroom actually got down to 65 degrees and I got cold! It was awesome! Robby and I got to cuddle all night. I. Loved. It!

And since our apartment has been so much cooler, I've actually been able to cook dinner! For the past month or so, I've barely cooked because it would just heat up our apartment so bad. So, for about a month, we ate a lot of cereal and salads. But now I can get back to cooking again! Yay!

Ok, side note over, on with the tour:
The vanity is outside of the bathroom.
I am so loving having two sinks, counter space, and bathroom storage space. It's fabulous!
Bathroom. Nuf said

Second bedroom that we use for storage. And there's still plenty of space.

Both bedrooms have walk-in closets so we use the second one as a pantry.

I can actually see all my clothes in the closet now!

Our loverly master bedroom.

Since Robby was driving  the truck, we had to leave his car at my parents' house. We came down on Saturday morning to spend the 24th of July with my folks. I love hanging out with my parents, but man do I miss our bed. We'll be heading back tomorrow after the 24th festivities which I will post about later.

And that concludes our tour. Thank you! Goodbye now! Goodbye! Thank you! Goodbye!

All-American

We spent the 4th of July with Robby's family. And despite the look on Robby's face in this picture, we had a great time.
This is the picture of Robby I'll use when he runs away and I have to put up Lost Husband flyers

Messing around before the fireworks started

We played games and had wonderful treats before the show. Robby's mom is an amazing cook. I'm pretty sure if we lived with Robby's parents, I would get really fat. She did all the food for our second reception, for Mathew and Candace's wedding luncheon, and Chris and Katie's reception. (Mathew and Christopher are Robby's brothers) There were cream puffs, and cream-filled cupcakes, and lemon bars, and cheesecake. I'm gaining weight just thinking about the decadence.

The fireworks show in Idaho Falls was amazing! And the whole thing was choreographed to music. The entire show felt like the grand finale of the fireworks displays I usually go to. It was beautiful.
We went boating while we were there and I got majorly burned.
I'm still pealing from the burn. It killed.

To continue on with some grand American traditions, Robby's been playing on our ward's softball team. It's so fun to watch him. Our ward has won the past 4 games. (I think it's all thanks to my amazing husband!)

And to finish off the Americana, we had a BBQ last night with Robby's old roommate, wife, and some of her friends and all their kids. We grilled hot dogs and played outside and drank Root Beer. This has been a great summer. God Bless America!
