John's First Birthday

There are tons of pictures in this post, so bare with me
This weekend we celebrated my baby's very first birthday! Holy Cow! How did that happen?!? Wasn't he just born a month or two ago?

Anyways, we went to Blackfoot to have a small family party with Robby's family. We had celebrated with my parents previously.
I made John a cupcake cake of a teddy bear holding a bunch of green and blue balloons

John wore a cute little onsie that said: MY FIRST BIRTHDAY

We sang Happy Birthday to him (movie to follow) and he tore in to this presents. He got new clothes and shoes, a new sippy cup, a tiny basket ball, books, and a lawn mower that blows bubbles.

Then he dug into his cake

My handsome little man is a big boy now

I sure love this sweet boy

My two loves

Happy Birthday my sweet boy!

Little Smarty-Pants

John's learning so much so fast

He:
  • knows his name
  • can wave
  • can clap
  • initiates peek-a-boo
  • knows what "bye-bye" means -- sadly it makes him cry
  • knows what "no" means... most of the time... and cries as well
and most recently

John has learned what "can I have a hug?" means. I asked him 7 or 8 times tonight and at least 4 or 5 (when he was sitting still enough to pay attention) he would stop what he was doing, and lean against me for a little hug. Melt my heart why don't you!?!
I love this sweet boy so more than anything!

Holiday Recap

I'm just going to recap our holiday season in one post.
John was the cutest, rolly-polliest tiger for Halloween. We celebrated with the ward Halloween party a few days before and the day of, we had dinner at IHOP and watched movies after John went to bed.

To get excited for the Christmas season, we got John some super cute Christmas clothes for his first holiday season. The onsie says "Gift to all the ladies" and the pants have a Santa face on the bum.

cutest little butt ever

We spent Thanksgiving with Robby's family in Blackfoot. We had Thanksgiving dinner at Great-grandma Williams' house with all of Robby's family and extended family and spent the rest of the weekend with Robby's parents. John loved playing the piano.

For Christmas, we went to Salt Lake and spent the time with my family. John got to see snow for the first time. And he loved it!

He even made a snow angel (with a little help)

John loved ripping the wrapping paper off all his presents

He got totally spoiled by both sets of his grandparents

So excited!

Happy Holidays everyone!!!
